A state-appointed prosecutor has started taking control of cases that ordinarily would have been handled by Philly’s district attorney.

Residents shared their concerns about the latest in a slew of arrests in Norristown and surrounding areas.

The judge sentenced Mark Dial to 9 1/2 months in jail and immediately granted him parole because he had already been jailed for 10 months following his arrest in 2023.

One teen was handcuffed when state trooper Dempsey Walters broke his eye socket. Walters served prison time for assault and other crimes.
