Ericka Conant is a digital producer for WHYY News. Born and raised in El Centro, California, she got her first taste of news at a newspaper club in high school. She carried this into college at UC Santa Cruz, where she was a fact-checker at the weekly school paper. Upon graduating in 2018, she became a digital producer and multimedia journalist in Yuma, Arizona. Ericka moved to Philadelphia in 2020 to pursue bilingual journalism and to report on the city’s extremely diverse Latino populations. Now at WHYY, she utilizes everything she’s learned.
