Police say they are still working to see if the bus stop shooting is connected to the killing of an Imhotep Charter High School student, 17-year-old Dayemen Taylor.

The U.S. Third Circuit Court of Appeals in Philadelphia is weighing whether to grant requests by gun rights advocates to bar Delaware laws they argue are unconstitutional.

Two people have been arrested and charged in last week’s mass shooting that hurt eight Northeast High School students at a SEPTA bus stop.

Northeast High School students have returned to class after the mass shooting injured 8 students.

The new psychology team at the Penn Trauma Violence Recovery Program has already provided about 46 survivors with short- and long-term therapy.

According to the Hamilton Police Division, a suspect opened fire on officers as they arrived on the scene.

"Permit-to-purchase laws work,” said Rep. Melissa Minor-Brown. “States with permit laws have 25% lower gun homicide rates, 50% lower gun suicide rates.”

The Pa. legislature created a special prosecutor to go after crimes committed in the transit system, and Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker promised to beef up police patrols.

Police say a car used in Wednesday’s shooting is connected to another car theft. Investigators are checking both vehicles for physical evidence.

Nearly a dozen children have been hurt in the recent string of shootings. Mayor Parker vowed to “use every legal tool in the toolbox" to address the violence.

Tuesday's shooting marked the third time in three days that someone was killed while riding, entering or leaving a SEPTA bus.

Police say the shooter fled the scene, leaving the bus and heading into the Snyder Station along the Broad Street Line.

The Philadelphia DA is vowing to get to the bottom of Monday’s quintuple shooting, and a car stop Saturday that involved a member of the Mayor’s administration.

Police said the suspect shot the victim immediately after both of them got off of the bus.

Police say the driver of a blue Honda Civic fired multiple shots into another vehicle with a 41-year-old father and his 8-year-old son inside.
