
Sandra Jones is WHYY News’ senior gun violence prevention reporter/editor. Prior to that, she was a reporter/anchor covering consumer and general assignment stories at WTOP in Washington, D.C. She previously worked as a national consumer investigative reporter with gray media group, a former consumer Investigative reporter at WVIT in West Hartford, Connecticut where she helped a half a million viewers get their money back. Before that, Sandra spent nearly two decades in Richmond, Virginia as city beat and investigative reporter and anchor at WTVR-TV/CBS 6. Sandra has received numerous awards for her broadcast reporting. She is a New Jersey native and a graduate of Rutgers University.
