Kimberly Paynter has been a staff photographer and videographer for the WHYY newsroom since 2012. A Philadelphia native, she grew up watching WHYY, and aimed to work in public media as she studied documentary production at the University of the Arts. When not shooting photos, she spends time tending her garden and studies classical music.
