Potentially damaging wind gusts that last over several hours will usher in a big change to the weather for the Philadelphia region Friday.

There are officially more storms occurring during the Atlantic hurricane season, according to updated storm records from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

The First Alert Weather Team has issued a First Alert for the potential of dangerous travel due to icy concerns from 4 p.m. Saturday through 10 a.m. Sunday.
