The cards are free for students in 7th grade and up who take the trolley, bus, or subway to school, with a max of eight uses per day.

All Pa. K-12 students now have the option to repeat a grade, but the deadline to apply is right around the corner and many families are unaware of the opportunity.

Wolf touted $300 million extra for school district operations and instruction, including the unique idea of setting aside $100 million of that strictly for schools in need.
