Early Thursday morning, police gave pro-Palestinian protesters on Drexel University's campus a warning to disband, and the protesters cleared that encampment.

Thursday’s hearing expands the scope of the committee’s inquiry for the first time to large, public universities, which are more strictly governed by the First Amendment.

Penn had previously placed six students on a mandatory leave of absence for their role in the encampment.
