A jury in Nevada has found a Democratic former Las Vegas-area politician guilty of murder in the killing of an investigative journalist.

Police say an officer tried to stop the motorcycle at East Main Street and South Chapel Street, but the motorcyclist sped away and struck the student about one minute later.

The new indictment includes the same criminal charges, but narrows the allegations in an attempt to comply with the Supreme Court's immunity ruling.
