It’s finally springtime and people all over the region are gearing up to spend more time outside and in nature. So today, we bring you a special nature edition of Radio Times in Review, specifically stories of man’s observation of the natural world. First up, we’ll hear about the history of birding – the increasingly popular American pastime – when we listen back to Marty’s conversation with naturalist and author, SCOTT WEIDENSAUL. Because springtime is mating season for the region’s insect population, we’ll also take a listen to Marty’s discussion with evolutionary biologist MARLENE ZUK, who joined us in 2011 to discuss her book Sex on Six Legs. And lastly, we’ll hear Marty’s conversation with renowned primatologist FRANS de WAAL. He joined us in 2013 to discuss his book The Bonobo and the Atheist: In Search of Humanism among Primates, which discusses his research on primates and human morality.
