A new series of Philly shows by the keyboardist will benefit Juntos, an advocacy group aiding immigrant families affected by enforcement.

With “campfires,” surprise sets and new songs, Manayunk’s Sing Us Home Festival brought thousands together for the weekend.

The facilities plan had gone through multiple revisions after backlash from the community.

The festival, the brainchild of Philadelphia’s own Dave Hause, serves as a homecoming for the musician, who grew up in the Roxborough-Manayunk area.

Federal and state leaders expressed their gratitude for the Secret Service and first responders while condemning political violence.

“We are taking this time to ensure our stakeholders understand the proposal before the Board votes,” Reginald Streater, the board’s president, said in a statement.

Six people were inside the lobby when the crash occurred. None of them suffered serious injuries.

“Since peaking during the pandemic, crime across the system has consistently declined,” SEPTA General Manager Scott Sauer said in a release.

"An absolute deliberate act," Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel said of the Tuesday crash in Philadelphia’s Rhawnhurst neighborhood.

The series, known as Concert at the Commons, is scheduled every Thursday in May at Broad Commons Park in Doylestown.

The centerpiece of the renovation, a 5,000-seat outdoor venue, will host an outdoor concert series May 29–31.
