Carmen Munir Russell-Sluchansky covers politics for WHYY News. He has reported from around the world including China, Japan, Haiti, Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, mostly focusing on human rights and the environment. His documentary on Haitian restaveks — children indentured as domestic servants — was funded by the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting.
Carmen previously chaired the International Correspondents Committee at the National Press Club and holds degrees from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and Georgetown University Law Center.
