Del. State hosts concussion discussion

A hard hit to to Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin, III this Sunday draws attention to the growing problem of head injuries in football.  The topic will be discussed tonight at Delaware State University.DSU’s newly created Neuroscience Program presents a guest lecture entitled, “How Many Hits is Too Many? – The Neurophysiological Consequences of Head Collisions in Football.”

The lecture will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Martin Luther King Center.  The talk will be presented by Dr. M. Talavage, professor of electrical and computer engineering at Purdue University and the director of the Purdue Magnetic Resonance Imaging Facility.
