PennFuture: Take Action on the Recovery Bill

On January 28, the House of Representatives passed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The $819 billion package includes more than $100 billion in green projects, such as clean energy and efficiency programs, a smart grid, weatherization of low- and moderate-income homes, retrofits on public buildings and public housing, clean water infrastructure, public transportation and environmental restoration.
It’s now the Senate’s turn to act, although green projects are less likely to be included in their version. Send an email to Senators Casey and Specter and let them know you support a package that puts America on the right track towards creating a clean environment and healthy economy.
