Hour 2

kittens_group_270x224According to a recent story in the Inquirer, in Philadelphia alone, there were roughly two cases of animal hoarding reported in 2004.  Now there are approximately two each month.  Why do people collect animals and are they criminals or folks with good intentions?  Our guests, veterinarian GARY PATRONEK and JANE NATHANSON are founding members of the Hoarding Animals Research Consortium and they are with us to explore what is a growing public health problem in cities and suburban communities alike.  They spoke last week at a symposium sponsored by the Bucks County Animal Hoarding Task Force.
