President Joe Biden on Wednesday formally revoked a series of presidential orders and memorandum signed by Donald Trump.

District officials had been demanding some teachers return to school buildings Monday, ahead of a planned return of up to 9,000 young children on Feb. 22.

The city’s teachers union has told teachers not to return to classrooms on Monday. The district says teachers could face discipline.

The suit seeks punitive and compensatory damages, and is the latest in a slew of police brutality cases brought against the Philadelphia Police Department.

The district asserted the teacher “was involved in the electoral college protest that took place at the United States Capitol Building.”
