White House chief strategist Steve Bannon is perhaps the most enigmatic figure in the Trump administration. The former editor-in-chief of Breitbart News is known for his out-of-the-box political ideology rooted in various obscure philosophical texts. He is the leader of the “populist” or “nationalist wing” of the Trump White House contrasted with the “establishment wing,” of GOP stalwarts. Currently, Bannon and Breitbart are fighting against the influence of H.R. McMaster, Trump’s National Security Advisor for his more neoconservative interventionist outlook. Today on the show, we’ll discuss the various lives of Steve Bannon, his strange career, and the development of his unique political ideas with JOSHUA GREEN, author of Devil’s Bargain: Steve Bannon, Donald Trump, and the Storming of the Presidency.
