The Abundance: A conversation with novelist Amit Majmudar

In his new book, The Abundance, writer AMIT MAJMUDAR tells a loving story about immigrant parents, their first generation children and how cooking bridges their understanding of each other. At the center of the story is the story of an Indian-American mother’s terminal illness which brings her upper middle class children back home where they confront their differences, the complexities of their own loves and their devotion to their family. Majmudar’s first novel was Partition and he also is a poet, an essayist and a diagnostic radiologist.
