Several teens injured in 3-car Saturday morning in Hamilton Twp, N.J.

Several teenage soccer players were among those injured in a three-vehicle crash in Hamilton Township, New Jersey.

Hamilton Township police tell The Press of Atlantic City that the accident on Route 40 occurred around 8:45 a.m., when an eastbound car driven by 39-year-old Nicholas Gareffi of Vineland apparently crossed the center lane.

His car struck a westbound truck driven by 48-year-old Darrel Jacobs of Vineland and a car driven by 18-year-old Madelyn Williscroft of Linwood. Gareffi’s car then struck several trees and caught fire.

Willscroft and two of her passengers suffered “mild to moderate” injuries. But another passenger had more serious injuries and was flown to a hospital.
