Romney speaks at Lancaster County Republican Committee dinner

The day he dropped out of the Republican presidential primary, Rick Santorum spoke to voters in Lancaster, saying it was a county where he came to recharge his batteries.
Just a week later, Mitt Romney is attempting to plug in.”Gosh, there are more Republicans in this room than I have in Massachusetts,” said Romney. “It’s an honor to be here.”The presumptive Republican presidential nominee received a standing ovation from the roughly 1,000 Republicans who attended the Lancaster County Republican Committee dinner. His remarks to the group focused on the economy, saying the lack of a clear recovery means President Obama should get the boot. Romney also has the endorsement of Governor Corbett, who said with the primary season over, it’s time for Republicans to unite around a candidate who can beat President Obama. That isn’t stopping Newt Gingrich, though. The former U.S. House Speaker, trailing in Pennsylvania polls and delegate counts, was also in Lancaster asking Republicans to “consider” voting for him. The Pennsylvania primary is six days away.
