Photos: Adventure Aquarium set to unveil largest renovation since 2005

Adventure Aquarium is set to unveil its largest renovation since it first opened its doors in 2005.

On March 31, the new KidZone opens its doors to the public, a  $1 million project geared towards connecting kids with nature in a hands-on experience.

“We’ve designed every last detail of the exhibit for families with children six and under, and the result is a dedicated space where kids can connect with animals by doing what they do best – play,” Executive Director Kevin Keppel said in a statement.

The new KidZone features animals and touch species, characters and a series of interactive activities the aquarium says are designed to promote learning through play.

On Saturday, the aquarium opened the doors for a preview of the new exhibit, complete with a red carpet leading up to the front entrance.
