The street festival will be on Sunday, June 9, spanning about 15 blocks in the area of 23rd and South streets in Center City.

This year’s festival includes live performances, an area celebrating the ballroom community, a kid zone and an accessible space to recharge.

“It’s really important for us to document this history, talk about things — and to never forget,” Mike Africa Jr. said.

The derby’s latest iteration featured a very hungry caterpillar, a glamorous Phanatic-Gritty duo and an ode to Dollar Dog Night. Plus, plenty of mud.

Gritty and the Phillie Fanatic showed up to celebrate the end of the Foundation for Delaware County’s first annual day of giving.

Runners receive a beer at each mile marker during Saturday’s event, with food trucks, music, and tastings from over a dozen breweries.
