Guests: Osita Nwanevu, Erin Cassese, David Barrett
Last night, President Trump delivered his second State of the Union Address to a divided congress and country. Today, we’ll talk about Trump’s message, the reception from the Republicans and Democrats in the audience and what we learned watching the president, VP Pence and House Speaker Pelosi framed in our TV sets. We’ll also talk about the Democratic response from Stacey Abrams, whose losing campaign for Governor of Georgia put her in the national spotlight. Joining us will be New Yorker staff writer OSITA NWANEVU, as well as Villanova professor of political science, DAVID BARRETT, and University of Delaware associate professor of political science, ERIN CASSESE.
