New research led by Ludwig-Maximilians-Universitaet in Munich takes a closer look at the impact of a breast cancer diagnosis on people’s mental health. Scientists there followed close to 200 women who were newly diagnosed with breast cancer for a year to chart their emotional responses.

In their weekly conversation, WHYY’s behavioral health reporter Maiken Scott and psychologist Dan Gottlieb discuss the findings.
