Woman accused of robbing four Delaware banks

A Wilmington woman was arrested Wednesday morning shortly after a robbery at the PNC Bank branch inside the Super G market on Concord Pike.

Police say 37-year-old Victoria Ludwig handed the teller a note just before noon on Wednesday and implied that she had a gun.  She made off on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.  A few minutes later, she was stopped near the Lancaster Court Apartments by a State Trooper in a car that matched the description of a car seen leaving the scene of the robbery.

Detectives say they were able to connect Ludwig to the robbery and three other bank robberies in recent weeks.  Those robberies include a pair of heists at the Citizens Bank branch inside the Acme Supermarket on Limestone Road and another robbery at the WSFS Bank inside the Shop Rite store on W. Newport Pike.

Police have also arrested 28-year-old Keith Whitaker of Wilmington who was in the car with Ludwig when she was arrested on Wednesday.
