A 43-year-old Wilmington woman was shot in the chest Sunday night while walking past a street fight.
Crystal Brown was pronounced dead after being taken from the scene by ambulance to Christiana Hospital.
Wilmington Police said she exited the Adams Market at 7th and Adams St. around 9:45 p.m. on Sunday. As she walked past a crowd of people fighting, someone in the fight started shooting. Brown, who had nothing to do with the altercation, was hit in the chest by a stray bullet.
No one has been charged in the shooting. Police said they’re still investigating.
