West Oak Lane convenience store targeted by armed robber for second time in 12 days [Video]

Armed robbers have targeted a West Oak Lane convenience store with shocking regularity, leaving little more than a trail of surveillance footage in their wakes.

Three such cases were reported at the 7-Eleven located at 7720 Ogontz Ave. between April 21 and May 14, 2011. On Nov. 29 of this year, another pair of armed robbers went to the same store, making off with cash and cigarettes.

In the latest case, an unknown gunman entered the store around 2:20 a.m. Tuesday and approached an employee at the counter “pointing the handgun at him demanding he open the cash register.”

While he followed the employee behind the counter, he took off without getting any money.
