Sandy knocks out third WHYY televised Delaware debate for U.S. Senate

Sandy has forced the cancellation of the third WHYY and WDEL radio debate for the U.S. Senate.  Widener University will be closed Monday and Tuesday.  The candidates schedules make it hard to reschedule.

WHYY has already aired a debate between the candidates running for Governor. You can watch our broadcast of the debate here.

The second debate was with the candidates for House of Representatives. That debate featured the incumbent, John Carney, republican Tom Kovach, green party candidate Bernard August, and libertarian, Scott Gesty.  The debate wasl held on Wednesday October 24th and can be seen here.   You can still check out our Decision Delaware coverage and the three questions we put to incumbent, Tom Carper, republican Kevin Wade, and independent Alexander Pires.  WHYY wishes to thank Widener Law School and WDEL for their participation in these events.  We invite you to watch Decision 2012 on WHYY TV beginning at 7:30 on Tuesday November 6th.  We’ll join PBS national coverage at 8pm.  We’ll have local reports from Delaware and through our content partner, WCAU-TV NBC 10,
