Renault Winery seeks bankruptcy protection

South Jersey’s Renault Winery Resort and Golf has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

The winery in Egg Harbor City, which was founded in 1864, will remain open while it reorganizes its finances.

Chief Operating Officer Dennis Del Vecchio tells The Press of Atlantic City he’s not looking to sell and wants to continue the legacy.

The resort was scheduled to go under a sheriff’s sale on Thursday. But the sale was canceled when the bankruptcy papers were filed.
