Property tax bills go out this week to New Castle County citizens

Residents in northern Delaware will soon be receiving their annual bills for property taxes and school taxes from New Castle County.

Property and school taxes are combined into one billing statement, which will be mailed out this week.  Payments are due by September 30th.  County taxes may be paid by check or money order by mail, or in person with cash, check or credit card at the New Castle County Government Center, 87 Reads Way in New Castle.  Credit card payments can also be taken over the phone.  For more information call 302-323-2600, or visit www.nccde.org.  The county website also allows taxpayers to access their property tax information and check their payment status, as well as download a printable version of their bills.
