On ‘Radio Times’: Mixed reaction of the Philadelphia Eagles first round draft pick

The party continues in Philadelphia for day two of the 2017 NFL draft.
In Round 1, the Philadelphia Eagles took a pass rusher, Derek Barnett from the University of Tennessee. When Roger Goodell, the NFL Commissioner announced the Eagles’ first-round pick, the draft’s 14th overall, there was a mixed reaction of boos and cheers from fans.
Earlier this morning, Mary Cummings-Jordan asked Mike Sielski, sports columnist for The Philadelphia Inquirer, about the response from Philadelphia fans.
“I think it’s a pretty good pick,” Sielski said. “Barnett is a defensive end, they’re supposed to go after the quarterback. This is a position that the Eagles have been trying to address in several drafts for awhile now.”
