New Castle County President candidates debate

The two candidates for New Castle County President outlined their differences and credentials for the job in a radio debate.

WDEL radio aired the debate including charges that Republican Tom Kovach was late in filing his financial disclosure form with the county ethics commission.  Kovach’s dismissed the charges.

Democrat Tim Sheldon and Kovach tried to stake out the claim that their candidacy was best for county government.  Kovach hammered home the idea that he wasn’t a part of the status quo and best able to handle the county economic issues.

Sheldon says his experience on county council is best to move the county forward.
