Mobile food pantry in Newark
The Food Bank of Delaware will hand out 250 frozen turkeys and meal boxes to needy families today at UAW Local 1183.
The food will be given to pre-screened individuals on a first-come, first-served basis. The Food Bank‘s mobile pantry travels to different locations around the state, delivering 35 pound meal boxes with enough food to feed four people for up to five meals. Last year, the mobile pantry distributed more than 9,000 meal boxes.
