Ideas for the new LOVE Park
I spent much of Wednesday in LOVE Park while staffers from PennPraxis, Parks and Rec, and Fairmount Park Conservancy collected ideas for LOVE Park’s future redesign. My day started with my arms around a couple Brazilian tourists on one side, a cop on the other, mugging as a drone camera flew at us to film some stock Philly footage. It ended with dancing. That sounds about right. LOVE Park takes all kinds – kids and old folks, line dancers, protesters, workers on lunch break, chess players, the itinerant, tourists – and it’s busy with activity.
Here’s a look at the kinds of ideas people have shared so far for LOVE Park’s future. Don’t forget that you can add yours to the mix by coming to LOVE Park on Saturday, September 20th, sharing on social media using #newlovepark, or emailing praxis@design.upenn.edu.
