UPDATE: Snow here and gone on schedule

Both Sussex County government officials and the City of Wilmington announced they will open for business at 10am today.  DART reports:

6:30 AM DART Bus Service Notice – At the present time Bus Route 8 is not operating and the Rt 24 is on detour using 11th Street instead of 7th Street.  Also due to cranes blocking the roadway, there is no Route 28 service today to the Nemours Clinic all day.

The National Weather Service had put out a Winter Storm Warning for New Castle and Kent Counties.  A Winter Storm Advisory was in effect for Sussex County.

Many schools will be closed Tuesday.  Some are delayed opening.  Schools around the state were closed Monday for President’s day.

The snow will effect the morning commute to work.  Many commuters will be tuned to radio and view traffic advisories and traffic cameras on the web.

DelDot has kept snow crews on the job Monday in New Castle County.  Kent County workers reported to work at 8pm.  Sussex County officials will monitor road conditions there.
