Fox Chase repair shop keeps drivers on the road
The deep blue two-story building located at 7507 Oxford Ave. in Fox Chase, houses a home-grown mechanical repair shop known as High Tech Automotive. Sean and Tim Kelly have worked in the shop for a little more than 18 years.
The Kelly brothers grew up in Fox Chase and their roots go back to Saint Cecelia’s parish just down Rockwell Avenue from the shop. The Kelly brothers are proud of their Fox Chase roots and the service they provide to the neighborhood in their two-bay garage.
Sean Kelly points to the funeral home across the street: “That used to be the gate house for Ryerss.” Kelly is proud to know the history of the neighborhood. Thank you cards from customers and historic photos of his property dot the small office in the rear of the shop.
“The economy is tough on everyone; we try to work with our customers to insure we can make necessary repairs without dealing a big hit to their wallets.” He added, “People can’t afford big car payments right now. We do our best to build a trust with our customers in order to make their vehicles safe and efficient.”
‘We’re Fox Chase guys” Tim Kelly said. “Most of our business is from the neighborhood and Sean and I just try to do the right thing by them.”
