Fetus found on conveyor belt at Camden recycling plant

An employee at a southern New Jersey recycling facility made a grisly discovery when the worker found a dead fetus at the plant.

Authorities say the employee found the fetus on a conveyor belt at ReCommunity Camden on Thursday afternoon.

Investigators don’t know how the fetus got there and haven’t determined the cause of death. They couldn’t immediately say what gender the fetus was.

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.
