Father of Delaware teen killed at school says her life seemed good

The father of a Delaware teenager who died after a fight in a high school restroom says there was no indication of any trouble in his daughter’s life.

Sonny Francis tells WTXF in Philadelphia that 16-year-old Amy Joiner-Francis was a great student who was interested in fashion and close to her family. He says his daughter was “the love of my life.”

Wilmington police say the sophomore from New Castle was involved in a fight with several female students at Howard High School of Technology on Thursday. Police say they are interviewing several students. They have not disclosed a possible motive.

Francis says he thought schools were a safe place.
