East Germantown shooting leaves woman in critical condition

A woman remained in critical condition at Albert Einstein Medical Center on Friday morning after being shot in the stomach around 6 p.m. Thursday.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was sitting in her car near Baynton and E. Duval streets when an unknown gunman approached and opened fire.

Police described the shooter as a 5-foot 8-inch tall African American male in his early twenties with a medium build and wearing a blue puffy jacket at the time.
