Talk about a throwback Thursday…

Duran Duran will bring their “Paper Gods” tour to Camden’s BB&T Pavilion this Thursday evening, with the legendary, Nile Rodgers and Chic as the opening act.

Released last year, “Paper Gods” is the band’s first studio effort in five years.

Duran Duran rose to fame in the early 80s as part of the New Romantic movement and are best known for New Wave megahits, “Girls on Film”, “Rio”, “Hungry Like the Wolf” and their chart topping James Bond theme, “A View to a Kill”. They were nearly equally well known for their heartthrob status and trendy, eyeliner-heavy fashion.

Rodgers founded disco group Chic in 1975, whose dance classic, “Good Times” has been widely sampled, spawning more dance and rap classics. Rodgers produced Duran Duran’s first number hit, “The Reflex” plus “Wildboys” in 1984 and produced their 1986 album, “Notorious”. He also co-produced the band’s latest album.

Electronic dance DJ, TOKiMONSTA will be the second opener for the band.

Tickets start at $20 and are still available.

Thursday, July 21, 7 p.m. – 1 Harbour Blvd., Camden, NJ.
