Deadline for dog licenses

Today is the deadline for dog owners to have their pets licensed for 2013.  The cost for spayed and neutered dogs is $10 per year, non-spayed and unneutered dogs cost $15 per year to get licensed.  All dogs over six months old must have permits and be current on rabies vaccinations at the time the license is issued.  Licenses can be obtained for one, two, or three-year increments.  Having an unlicensed dog could cost owners a $50 initial fine, followed by a maximum $100 fine for repeat offense within 12 months.
