One person was killed and another was seriously injured when a car went off a southern New Jersey roadway and struck a tree on Thanksgiving Day.

Ponzio remained hospitalized Friday in critical condition, but further details on his injuries were not disclosed.

A passenger in the car, 20-year-old Nevil Tauro of Absecon, was pronounced dead at the scene.
