Another bill signing for Gov. Markell

Delaware foster kids soon to get automatic annual credit reports.
In an effort to help the state’s foster kids protect their identity, Governor Markell will sign a bill this afternoon that will require the state to get an annual credit report for every child in its custody, starting when they turn 16.  House Bill 269 will require the Department of Services for Children, Youth and their Families to examine the report to check for identity theft.  The bill goes into effect at the start of 2013.
