20 Years of beautiful furniture from one Wilmington studio [video]

Twenty years ago Rick Kirk decided office work wasn’t for him, and what started out as a hobby has become his life.

He makes custom furniture in his Wilmington shop.  First Experience introduces us to Rick and his beautiful work.

Office work wasn’t Rick’s cup of tea, twenty years ago he decided he was bored.  He went back to school to follow his passion.

His passion is woodworking. Twenty years later Rick is now a cabinetmaker by trade, though he doesn’t just make cabinets.  From tables and chairs, and everything in between Rick brings his unique talents and skills to his Wilmington studio.

Rick counts Henry B. du Pont IV as one of his many clients.  We visited Rick at his Wilmington studio and were lucky enough to be invited into Mr. du Pont’s home to film some of Rick’s work.

You can get more information about Rick and see samples of his work on his website.
