’11 Days of Love Stories’ begins in Philly

A Philadelphia filmmaker plans a week and a half of events devoted to love — in the City of Brotherly Love.

Jos Duncan, who organized the love-themed events, said they’re designed to help people envision the changes that should come to the city and the country.

“When we combine love with the work we are doing for justice, wellness and equity, we get an idea of what those ideas should look like,” said Duncan, multimedia producer, social entrepreneur, and chief storyteller at Love Now Media, a social enterprise with a mission to tell stories

Most of the “11 Days of Love Stories” events running through July 15 are arts-based.

“It gives opportunities for people to express themselves — to write, to dance, to create, to really connect personally to what the idea of love means to them,” Duncan said. “And then we want to stay connected with people to help them continue to build narratives as they move forward.”

Duncan spoke with NewsWorks Tonight host Dave Heller
