[From the Radio Times archive] FRANCINE PROSE’s latest novel, Lovers at the Chameleon Club, Paris 1932, is set in Paris and Berlin in the years leading up to WWII. It’s based on the true story of a cross-dressing, race car driving Nazi collaborator named Violette Morris. She was made famous by a photograph, “Lesbian Couple at Le Monocle,” which features two women – one dressed as a man, the other as a woman. It was taken by the Hungarian photographer known as Brassai. We’ll hear from Prose about her novel in this hour of Radio Times. Marty spoke with her last year.
