Sexual assault cases on college campuses

Listen

Guests: Alison Kiss and Brett Sokolow

A recent report released by Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill paints a troubling picture of sexual assault on college campuses. In a survey of 440 schools, more than 40% have not conducted a single investigation in the past five years and that law enforcement at 30% of schools do not receive training how to respond to sexual assault reports. Should these cases remain in the hands of universities? In this hour of Radio Times, we’ll examine the ways in which colleges handle sexual assault on campus, the rights of accusers and the accused, and how schools can improve this process. Our guests are ALISON KISS, Executive Director of The Clery Center for Security on Campus, and BRETT SOKOLOW, President of the National Center for Higher Education Risk Management.
