Guests: Lori Pompa, Tyrone Werts, Jonathan Makeen McIntyre, and Cynthia Zuidema

The Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program brings college students and incarcerated men and women together to study criminal justice within the prison walls. The program, which started in Philadelphia in 1997 and is headquartered at Temple University, has been replicated all around the country and the world. More then 15,000 students have participated in Inside-Out. So what are the lasting effects? Marty talks about how the program has changed lives with guests LORI POMPA, a founder and Director of Inside-Out, and three former students: TYRONE WERTS, a consultant for Inside-Out and the Public Defender’s Office and Soros Justice Fellow, JONATHAN MAKEEN MCINTYRE, Program Associate with the Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program, and CYNTHIA ZUIDEMA, a Reentry Coordinator for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
