Trump’s SCOTUS pick; then, Trump’s EOs and the Constitution

Listen 00:49:51

Guests: Jeffrey Rosen, Anil Kalhan, Meg Kinnard

President Trump named his pick for the vacant Supreme Court seat Tuesday night. Today, we’ll talk with JEFFREY ROSEN, President and CEO of the National Constitution Center, and with MEG KINNARD, reporter for the Associated Press about Trump’s nomination and what it means for the nation’s highest court.  Then, many questions have been raised about the constitutionality of Trump’s “travel ban,” including – if it amounts to a religious test and if U.S. Customs and Border Protection should follow the EO or federal court rulings that defy it. ANIL KALHAN, professor of law at Drexel joins Marty and Jeffrey to give us his take on the ban and its legality.
