The presidential race coming to Pennsylvania
Listen
Hour 1
Once again Pennsylvania proves it’s a battleground state in the fight for the Republican presidential nomination. With the Keystone State’s primary less then a month away, Rick Santorum, who represented the state in Congress for 16 years, has lost his double-digit lead according to a recent poll. Santorum and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney are now in a dead heat. Today we’re going to talk about the Republican primary and the Presidential election from a Pennsylvania perspective. We’ll also discuss the results of a new study on the state’s civic health – it turns out Pennsylvanians don’t like to talk about politics much. Our guests are LARA BROWN is a professor of political science at Villanova University and the author of “Jockeying for the American Presidency: The Political Opportunism of Aspirants,“ and CHRIS BORICK is an assistant of political science at Muhlenberg College and Director of the Muhlenberg College Institute of Public Opinion.
